Theme: Time
Mechanic: Double Jump
This game takes the them of 'Time' and stretches it to focus on the timing of the athlete's jumps to aim for the best heights and distances reached.
Ever felt like track and field long jump could use an extra jump?
This is track and field long double jump.
Controls:
Mash left and right arrow to gain speed
Hold space to choose the angle for the jump, release to jump.
Do it again in mid air to use your double jump.
Post your high scores in the comments, best score gets a cheeseburger

As MilkBeans pointed out, this game makes me nostalgic for old school flash games. The mashing bit goes on for way too long, makes my fingers hurt. Furthest distance I got is 16
I've taken your complaints into account and reduced the total running distance. Feel free to try again and let me know if eases any pain :)
Mashing bit is so much better now. The new filter and soundtrack fit very well. Looks much more polished and complete now!

Just add some sound effects and something like this is worthy of CoolMathGames. As of this comment, (I've been playing for 2 minutes), I got a speed of 6.9, a height of 0.7, and a distance of 8.7.

Yeah those were some very good changes. I like how its more retro, and the applause is a nice touch. CoolMathGames would prosper off of this.
Also I got to a distance of 13.9 and speed of 9.9.

That's a crazy distance, I couldn't get anywhere near it. I've tweaked the running speed and distance, let me know if you can beat 30!
